Example workflow

Connect anonymously, search with search_open_loops, then retrieve a result with get_open_loop. Preserve its exact licence and attribution when previewing or downloading. Personal-audio analysis is separate: use estimate_cost and review the estimate before approving analysis or payment.

Connection and access

The canonical endpoint is https://mcp.studiosphere.space/mcp, using Streamable HTTP. Follow the connection instructions for your client.

  1. Connect anonymously: no key, account or payment is needed for loop discovery.
  2. Call search_open_loops, choose a returned pol_id, then call get_open_loop.
  3. Keep the returned license, license URL and attribution with the preview or download. Follow each sample’s terms, including credit for CC-BY samples.

Prefer a browser? Explore licensed samples. Loop tags, BPM and musical key are hints or estimates requiring review.

For private analysis, a trusted client binds the API key during initialize. After obtaining a trial key with human approval, end the old connection and reconnect to initialize a new session. Keep keys private; adding a key to an existing session does not authenticate it.

For one-off analysis, use your existing anonymous connection: request a free estimate, review current costs and confirm a lawful basis, then obtain explicit spending approval before requesting a Checkout link. The human completes payment; no Pulse account or API key is needed for this path.

Pulse’s MCP endpoint does not support OAuth or bearer authentication. REST Bearer access is a separate interface. Two scoped Checkout workflows through one existing configured Claude connector were validated on October 12, 2026: buffered Checkout with an automatic refund, and explicit minimum-charge Checkout after tool refresh and a fresh conversation. This does not certify new anonymous connector setup, OAuth, trial or banked-token access, other hosts, or live over-cap rejection. These Claude tests do not establish support for other assistant hosts; assess each against its own scoped evidence. Read the scoped Claude evidence and troubleshooting.

Pricing and estimates

Estimates are free before paid analysis. One analysis up to 5 minutes. URL only; BPM, key and waveform. Up to two queued attempts if the first fails. Rights, permission, lawful access, or another legal basis required. Pulse prices selected tools by audio duration using the same tool multipliers exposed by /tools: waveform 0.06 tokens/second, BPM 0.1 tokens/second, and key 0.1 tokens/second. The current token price is $0.005.

60 second bpm, key, waveform example16 tokens$0.08
3 minute full v1.0 suite47 tokens$0.24
Cached resultMay cost less$0.001 current cache-hit price

Examples are estimates. Review the returned estimate before payment or API-key analysis. Final charges depend on measured duration, completed tools, cached analysis and checkout-path constraints.

Rights-aware analysis boundary

Pulse is designed for audio the user has rights, permission, lawful access, or another legal basis to submit. Agents and apps should confirm that before analysis. Pulse does not provide transcription, stem separation, mastering, loudness correction, chord transcription, or track structure segmentation in v1.0.

Pulse is designed to make audio analysis auditable. Each analysis flow should make clear which URL was submitted, which tools were selected, what the estimate was, when rights confirmation was given, and whether the job completed, partially completed, failed, or expired.
